Embedded Software Developer (Sterling, VA)
Are you currently employed as an entry- to mid-level embedded software developer and ready to take the next step in your career with a great new company? We design and produce ground-penetrating radar for military and humanitarian applications. Our engineers and the people who support them are committed to developing the premier landmine detection system for robotic and vehicle-mounted platforms. This development of life-saving technology is a long-term opportunity. This position with the R&D team is based in Sterling VA, and supports production in Charlottesville, VA.

As an ESD at NIITEK, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, testing and maintaining modules in NIITEK's real-time embedded software systems. This position focuses on real-time digital signal processing and/or electromechanical system interfaces.

In order to be successful in this position, candidates must demonstrate their ability to take abstract requirements specifications for software modules and reference materials for the subject area, publish and/or implement the interface to the external functions of that module, implement the module, and support it through integration and acceptance testing.

This is a fantastic opportunity for candidates with the following Talents, Education and Experience:
The ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET DoD Level Clearance is Required to be considered for this position. Requires US Citizenship and you will be subject to a government security investigation.
 Excellent knowledge of C or C++ (ideally both)
 Experience with the design and analysis of real-time software
 Talents for diagnosing and fixing software errors
 Basic knowledge of digital signal processing, device drivers, and/or interfaces to non-computer devices
 Batchelor.s Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering required.
 2+ years experience or Master of Science degree A STRONG PLUS!
